“There’s one story rarely told. One story almost forgotten. One about the true magic of Christmas, about how a small-town band from Tennessee not only saved Christmas, but showed us all the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll.”
I was just wondering the other day, “2013 has been a pretty good year for music, wouldn’t it be nice to have some new Glossary?” And then this happened. A brand spankin’ new Christmas special featuring the Glossies in their musical and comic comfort zones. It’s basically a Hee Haw-type variety show and the band plays a couple new Christmas songs that sound like the Glossary I know and love. However, the show is stolen by Banjo and Pinecone, future stars of puppet comedy, I have little doubt. You also get cameos by Cory Branan, Birdcloud, Austin Lucas, and the fabled Courtney Koozie. Special shout-out to my This Is American Music homeboys — Corey Flegel, Sean Courtney, Jay Cooper, and Nick Nichols — who helped put this together. Dem’s good beeble. And of course, thank you and Merry Christmas to Joey Kneiser, Kelly Smith, Bingham Barnes, Todd Beene, and Eric Giles. The rest of you, get Glossaried.
