I grew up and still live in Marysville CA and Phil was a good friend of my parents. When I was 14 he was playing at The Rainbow Club and used to let me get up and sing. In 1979 I was living in Redondo Beach and he called my Daddy and asked if I was still singing and if so to get my butt to Nashville and he would record me. Nasville Superpickers were my session players. He had tje Sound Factory Recording Studio. I recorded 4 songs one called Born in the Country written by Carol Anderson of Nadhville. That record got a lot of airplay in a lot of cities and jukeboxes and kept me working. I loved Phil Baugh and he was the greatest! Gone way too soon!
